Lengths of tubes

Types of supplied length of tubes are:	(a) random length,
	(b) fixed length ± 500 mm,
	(c) exact length – 0 + 15 mm.

 

 

Ends of tubes

The ends are vertical to the longitudinal axis and are without burrs.	The tubes with deburred ends or ends customized for welding.

Tubes and bundle marking

Tubes packaging

Tubes are bound with steel band into bundles with weight 1 000–3 500 kg.

Testing of the tubes for threading

Tubes are tested with nonspecified test. Tests: leak tightness (pressure 50 bar for 5 seconds or according to EN 10246 – 1), visual inspection, tensile test, bend test and flattening test.

Straightness

Tubes are visually straight. Max deviation 0.2 % of tube length

Delivery condition and tubes surface

Usually the tubes are supplied as hot rolled. Only tubes with DN 6 -10, or possibly tubes of other dimensions may be supplied after an agreement as cold drawn tubes, and after forming, heat treated. Surface of the tubes is appropriate to the way of production. Upon request, tube surface may be taken care of by a definite surface insulation (tar, PVC tape or extruded PVC according to DIN 30670).

Tubes surface protection

The pipes are supplied without temporary anticorrosion protection. While ordering, it is necessary to agree upon the method and means of temporarily protecting the surface of the tubes during transportation and storage.
