Precision tubes for mechanical machining – HPZ type

We offer a wide range of cylinder tubes for mechanical machining within the following parameters:

Dimensions of hydraulic cylinder tubes

INNER DIAMETER (OD)40.0 - 115.0 mm
WALL THICKNESS (WT)5.0 - 10.0 mm

Tube are destined to have the inside surface machined by honing or stripping and subsequent rolling
EN 10305-1;
DIN 2391;
STN / ČSN 42 6711, 42 6712;
See tube sizes acc. to European standards

Tolerances of hydraulic cylinder tubes

Tolerances of the outside diameter (OD) HPZ tubes meet the appropriate dimensional table standards. Tolerances values of the inside diameter (ID) are presented in the table. Tolerance of the wall thickness is -/+ 7.5% of the wall thickness. HPZ tubes eccentricity is included in the wall thickness tolerance

Length of cylinder tubes

- manufactured length of precision tubes in the range of 3 to 6 meters
- maximum precise length 6 meters

Cylinder tubes ends

The ends are vertical to the longitudinal axis and are without burrs. Upon agreement the tubes may be capped with plastic caps.

Marking of cylinder tubes and tube bundles

The tubes are marked along the length of the tube where the following pieces of information are used: manufacturers’ logo, dimension (OD x ID), steel, heat number and the number of standard or other data as per the customers’ request. Bundles of tubes are marked with one or more labels with the required data

Packaging of the cylinder tubes

Tube are supplied in packages with a circular or hexagonal outline with maximum weight of 2 000 kg

Cylinder tube testing

Selection of the tests is either
according to standards or
upon agreement with customer:
cast / chemical analysis
tensile test,
dimensional inspecti
visual inspection
NDT to find longitudinal defects
  • eddy current (STN 01 5054, PRP 02-74, SEP 1925, ASTM E 309, EN 10246-3 Gr.E3),
  • stray flux (STN 01 5047, ČSN 01 5047, SEP 1913, ASTM E 570, EN 10246-5 Gr.F3),
  • ultrasound (STN 01 5028, ČSN 01 5028, SEP 1915, ASTM E 213, EN 10246-7 Gr.U3),

Certified test reports for cylinder tubes

EN 10204 3.1 specific testing,
DIN 500493.1.B,

Straightness of cylinder tubes

Straightness of the tubes is 0,001 multiple of the tube length maximum, allowed straightness for one meter length is 1.0 milimeters.

Delivery condition of cylinder tubes

The tubes are delivered as cold drawn and annealed to relieve the stress BKS (+SR). Other delivery conditions are possible upon agreement. Marking for material condition according to DIN 2391-2 and ASTM 519 may be found here.

Cylinder tubes surface protection

The surface of the tubes is oiled.
