Butt welding elbows

Butt welding elbows are produced by extrusion pressing. The semi-finished product is rolled seamless steel tubes. Butt-welds are mainly used as part of the construction of pipelines, energy engineering and mining industry.

Steel for butt welding elbows

The elbows are made of steel, which is located above in the survey table and is divided according to purpose of use. The elbows meet the requirements of NACE MR 0175.

Heat treatment, delivery condition

The elbows produced by hot forming are available without heat treatment, annealing is included in the normalized forming.
Upon agreement the outer surface can be machined by blasting.

Dimensions are given in tables according to EN standards and in accordance with ASME standards.

The elbow ends

The elbows are supplied with smooth, square cut ends. Upon agreement the elbow ends can be modified for the weld according to following standards:
- EN 10 253
- ASME (ANSI) B16.9
- DIN 2559
- STN, ČSN 13 1075

Marking of the butt welding elbows

The elbows are supplied with the following markings: (a) without marking (b), with marking the type of steel according to the relevant color standard, (c) stamping the data according to standards or customer requirements with respect to the space available on the surface of the elbow.

Surface protection of butt welding elbows

The elbows are delivered without surface preservatives or surface treated by blasting. Upon agreement it is possible to have temporarily surface protection by oiling it.

Packaging of butt welding elbows

The elbows are packed in cardboard boxes put on wooden pallets or delivered in metal pallets.

Testing of butt welding elbows

The input tubes and ready made elbows and are tested in accordance with the requirements of relevant standards.
